So much has changed since Amy Michelle Hairdressing first opened its doors. Amy started out by herself after working in London for five years, gaining huge experience in the industry being a freelance session stylist, working at London Fashion Week and the X Factor. “When I moved back, all I wanted to do was open my own salon and I was lucky enough to do that in 2016. Having an Alfaparf Master Colour degree, being a qualified hair extensionist, I knew it would be achievable.”

“To kickstart our second birthday, we have decided to fundraise for Marymount. As I have been so lucky in the last couple of years, it’s good to give back. I am donating money from every service done in the salon. We are also accepting donations.”

And this is not the only way in which Amy Michelle Hairdressing gives back. “We introduced some more corporate discounts to our list. HSE, St John’s Central College, Cork College of Commerce, Dunnes Stores, Tesco, SuperValu, Cork City and County Council staff receive a 20 percent discount on all cut and colour services from Tuesday to Thursday every week!”

This year the Amy Michelle Hairdressing salon won Cork Hair Salon of the Year at the Cork Business Awards, Best Customers Service Award in the Irish Hair and Beauty Awards, were awarded the Good Salon Guide four-star rating and their hair extensionist award. “What a lot packed into two years!”
